For the flute maker in mind. These lathe centers will hold your flute blanks while turning on the lathe. They will help you in keeping a more uniform wall thickness along with less chance of splitting your blanks. You can get very accurate repeatability when taking your blanks on and off your lathe. The drive end has 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1", 1-1/8", 1-1/4", 1-3/8",and 1-1/2" steps. The tail stock end, with 2 bearings, has 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8" sizes. This tail stock end has absolutely no slop and is made to replace your current live center. These step pieces are mounted permanently on #2 morse tapers which fit into most average size lathes today.
